INTRODUCTION
Issue that this hotfix package fixes
Consider the following scenario:
-
You configure the Business Data Connectivity (BDC) service to use the single sign-on (SSO) service in Duet Enterprise for Microsoft SharePoint and SAP.

You configure a timer job to fetch data from an SAP endpoint and synchronize data with a user profile store.
-
The SAP endpoint is configured to use Basic authentication.
-
You run the timer job.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Connection manager did not return valid connection.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
