Converting and Opening Unsupported File Formats
While there are file converters out there, the most common way to get an unsupported file format into Excel is:
-
Open the unsupported data file with the software used to create it.
-
Use the Save As or Export functions to save the file in either Comma-Separated Values (CSV) or XLS(If Supported) file format.
-
Once that is done you can Open it into Excel 2010.
Note: XLS will retain formulas, CSV will not.
