Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You have an entity that has four attributes in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Master Data Services (MDS). For example, the attributes for the entity are A1, A2, A3, and F. Attribute A3 is a domain-based attribute.

You have two business rules. One rule tries to set the value of F to A1. The second rule tries to set the value of F to A2 when A3 is set to a certain value.

You publish and apply the two business rules.
In this scenario, the value of F is not updated.
Note The expected operation is that attribute A3 dictates F to be updated to the value of A2. Instead, the value of F stays blank.
