Note We have released a revised package 2817532 for this June cumulative update.

Summary

This article describes the issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Word 2010 hotfix package that is dated June 11, 2013.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you have a Word 2010 document that contains style definitions that you revised. When a Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) macro loops over the Revisions collection in the document by using the "For Each ... Next" statement, the macro enters an infinite loop. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

Run-time error 5852 Requested object is not available.

Alternatively, when the macro uses the "For ... Next" statement, the macro returns correct data values for only the first style definition revision that the enumerator encounters.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You create a plain text only form in Microsoft Outlook 2010.

    • You use the form to create a new email message.

    • You change the subject in the email message.

    • You try to send the email message.

In this scenario, the following message unexpectedly appears in the Microsoft Outlook Compatibility Checker dialog box:

Some of the features in this document aren't supported by plain text e-mail.Summary:Formatted text will become plain text.

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You insert a plain text content control in a Word 2010 document.

    • Document protection and the Track Changes feature are enabled for the content control.

    • You edit the text in the content control.

In this scenario, the original text is duplicated every time that you press a key. Additionally, if you press Backspace, the original text is duplicated many times. Then, Word 2010 freezes.

  • Assume that you select multiple discontinuous cells in a table in Word 2010. When you run the Selection.End method in the Word object model to retrieve the character position of the last character in the last cell that you selected, the character position of the last character in the first cell that you selected is returned unexpectedly.

  • Assume that you open a Word document in a Japanese version of Word 2010 or in a version of Word 2010 that is using the Japanese display language. Then, you create or configure a hanging indentation setting for a paragraph style, and then you save the paragraph style. When you reopen the paragraph style, the values for the indentation setting differ from the values that you configured.
