Symptoms

Assume that you enable the "Create Code Values Automatically" entity option in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or SQL Server 2014 MDS. When you add a new member within MDS Explorer on a page other than Page 1 or the last page, you receive the following unexpected UI behavior:

  • A thin, empty member line appears in the member grid.

  • The empty member has a lock icon even though no row-level permissions are set on the model and entity.

  • After you enter data for the new member, you click OK, and then you click another member in the grid. You expect to see the selected member’s data. However, you still see the new member data instead.
