Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:
-
You useĀ Internet Explorer 10 or Internet Explorer 11 on a computer.
-
The computer is in an environment that is configured to use Roaming profiles.
-
Per the configuration in the environment, computers delete the cached copy of the local profile when users log off.
In this scenario, persistent cookies are not roamed correctly. This can result in website preferences and authentication being lost between user sessions.
For example, you sign in to a website by using Internet Explorer 10 on computer A. Then, you log off of computer A, and you log on to computer B. When you access the website on computer B, you have to sign in to the website again. This issue does not occur when you use Windows Internet Explorer 9 or earlier version of Internet Explorer.Resolution
