This update lets OEMs prevent specific non-video AVStream devices from being exposed and used as cameras by modern applications on Windows 8.1 devices.

Registry information
This update lets a registry key change the behavior of the Usbvideo.sys driver against certain USB camera devices. If the registry key is set for a nonzero value for a specific non-video AVStream device, that device will not be exposed as a video camera to the AVStream API. Therefore, any modern applications that use the typical Windows Runtime MediaCapture API are no longer able to see that specific device.

To apply this update, you must first have update 2919355 installed in Windows 8.1.
