Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a 1394a host controller that has two external ports on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

  • You connect two external 1394a hard disks to the controller.

  • The computer enters hibernation and then resumes from hibernation.

In this scenario, you may receive the following Stop error message:

0x0000009F (parameter1, parameter2 , parameter3 , parameter4 )DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Cause

This issue occurs because of a generation count mismatch between SBP2PORT driver and 1394OHCI driver.

Resolution

Hotfix information

File information

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 file information notes
