You can activate voice messaging from your account in Skype, for free.

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. In the Manage Features section, select Call forwarding and voicemail .

  3. Select the button Call forwarding disabled to enable call forwarding Call forwarding enabled and then select how many seconds to forward calls after.

  4. Select Voicemail , then select Confirm .

If you buy an unlimited subscription or a Skype Number , voice messaging is activated automatically.

If someone has recently left you a message, you will see a notification in your recent conversations list.

Select the contact’s name in the Recent list, then in the conversation window, select the Play button next to the message.

If you can’t hear the message, try turning up the speaker volume on your device.

You can only remove a Skype voicemail that you've sent. However, if necessary, you can report a voicemail you've received as abuse. After it's reported, it will be hidden from the chat. Learn more about reporting abuse in Skype .

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. In the Manage Features section, select Call forwarding .

  3. Select the button Call forwarding enabled to disable call forwarding Call forwarding disabled . You can choose to forward your calls to another Skype account or to a mobile or landline number instead.
