Symptoms
Assume that you have a pivot table in Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Analysis Services (SSAS 2017) in Multidimensional mode. When you try to refresh data for the pivot table in Microsoft Excel, you receive an error message that resembles the following:
"Internal error: An unexpected exception occurred."
Additionally, a dump file is generated.
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
