Symptoms
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1):

You create a draw promissory note journal.
-
You settle a vendor invoice from the draw promissory note journal. Additionally, you select the Payment proposal check box in the Open transaction editing dialog box.
-
You close the Open transaction editing dialog box. When you do this, the Vendor payment proposal dialog box appears.
-
You try to transfer the draw promissory note journal.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Cannot edit a record in Journal lines (LedgerJournalTrans).
Cause
This problem occurs because the system tries to update a record that was deleted from the database.

You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply this hotfix.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
