Summary

This article describes the issue that is fixed in the Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 hotfix package that is dated October 30, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issue that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you have a PowerPoint 2013 file (.pptx) that contains a PowerPoint 2013 transition, and then you open and save the same .pptx file in PowerPoint 2010. When you reopen the .pptx file in PowerPoint 2013, the original transition becomes another transition.
    Note PowerPoint 2010 changes the original transition to another transition.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problems described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
