This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for the Austrian (at) region.
In the Austrian version of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, the process of supporting packing material fees calculation was changed. To support new classification for packing materials, new master data Packing material class was implemented to the system. To possibility to assign released product to Product groups, required for Packing material calculation, new Category hierarchy type for Packing materials was added. To support allocation of product materials transactions to the tariff categories according to predefined quotes, new functionality Tariff categories allocation was implemented.
To support new requirements for calculation process, the new calculation journal was implemented. There are detailed and aggregated view for the calculation transactions. Packing material fees calculation report for Austria can be printed from the new journal.

The changes in the hotfix enable this update.

To support new requirements for Austrian packing materials calculation, following changes were implemented in the system:

To allocate released products to Product group:
-
New category hierarchy with Category hierarchy type "Packing materials" (Product information management/Setup/Categories/Category hierarchy type), you can create Products groups in this category hierarchy and assign released products to Product groups in the category hierarchy.

To support new classifications:

New form Packing material classes (Inventory management/Setup/Packing materials/Packing material classes) to support classification by size (e.g. Small, Large, Special rule);

New form Tariff categories (Inventory management/Setup/Packing materials/Tariff categories) to support different tariff categories for packing materials (e.g. Household, Commercial);

The new field Packing material class is available in the Packing unit form (Inventory management/Setup/Packing materials/Packing unit);

The new field Tariff category is available in the form Packing material fees (Inventory management/Setup/Packing materials/Packing material fees);

The new field Packingclass in the forms Packing materials transaction (Sales and marketing/Inquiries/Packing materials transaction and Procurement and Sourcing/Inquires/Packing materials transaction).

To support new calculation process:

New form Allocation by tariff categories (Inventory management/Setup/Packing materials/Allocation by tariff categories). You can specify packing material quotes for each tariff category for the combination of Product group + Packing class + Packing code.

New Packing material calculation journal (Inventory management/Periodic/Packing materials). You can specify Date From, Date to and calculate journal after clicking the Lines button. If the Save details parameter is selected, you will be able to view detailed calculation transactions clicking the Calculation details button.

To support reports:

New field Packing material class was added in the standard reports Packing materials weight – purchase and Packing materials weight – sales.

New report Packing materials fee calculation (Inventory management/Periodic/Packing materials/Packing material calculation journal) can be printed after the Calculation journal is created and calculated.

Note the standard report Packing materials fee calculation (Inventory management/ Reports/Packing material) is not available under Austrian country context.
