Change your two-step verification method and settings
Add a new account to the Microsoft authenticator app. You can set up your work or school account on the Microsoft Authenticator app for Android or iOS. Important: If you already set up your work or school account in the Microsoft Authenticator app, you don't need to do it again.

The Microsoft Authenticator app helps you sign into your accounts when you're using two-step verification.
Sign in using Microsoft Authenticator - Microsoft Support
Open Authenticator, and then select > Add work or school account > Sign in. Select Sign in from another device. On the remote screen, open the Sign in to your account page and enter the code that you see in Authenticator. On your remote screen, sign in using your work or school account credentials.
Set up the Microsoft Authenticator app as your verification method
Sign in to your work or school account and then go to your My Account portal. Select Security info in the left menu or by using the link in the Security info pane. If you have already registered, you'll be prompted for two-factor verification. Then, select Add method in the Security info pane.
Set up an authenticator app as a two-step verification method
You can set up an authenticator app to send a notification to your mobile device or to send you a verification code as your security verification method. You aren't required to use the Microsoft Authenticator app, and you can select a different app during the set up process.
Manually add an account to the Microsoft Authenticator app
Open the Authenticator app, select Add account from the Customize and control icon in the upper-right, select Other account (Google, Facebook, etc.), and then select OR ENTER CODE MANUALLY. Enter an Account name (for example, Amazon) and type the Secret key from Step 1, and then select Finish.
