Go to outlook.office.com. If you're not automatically signed in with your work or school account, follow the prompts to enter the email address and password for your work or school account. Follow any two-factor authentication prompts you may have previously set up for this account. Select Sign in.

If you think someone might have unauthorized access to your account, we can protect you by signing you out from all of your trusted devices. Within 24 hours, you will be signed out of browsers, apps and anywhere else your account is used to sign in, except an Xbox console.

Change your password in Outlook.com. Your Outlook.com password is the same as your Microsoft account password. Go to Microsoft account security and select Password security. As a security measure, you might be prompted to verify your identity with a security code.

Sending a message. If you haven't already set up messages, do the following: On your PC, in the Phone Link, select Messages. To start a new conversation, select New message. Enter the name or phone number of a contact. Select the person you want to send a message to.
