Suspicious links or unexpected attachments - If you suspect that an email message, or a message in Teams is a scam, don't open any links or attachments that you see. Instead, hover your mouse over, but don't click the link. Look at the address that pops up when you hover over the link.

When you receive messages with links to web pages, Outlook.com checks whether the links are related to phishing scams or are likely to download viruses or malware onto your computer. If you click a link that is suspicious, you will be redirected to a warning page like the one below.

If you're using another mail service, you'll see a message with a link. That link will take you to either to Outlook on the web if you're a Microsoft 365 subscriber, or you'll be prompted to get a one-time passcode to read the message in a browser window.

SharePoint site collection administrators control whether users can embed content from external websites using the embed web part. If they don't let contributors embed content, users who try to do so will see an error message that says, “Embedding content from this website isn't allowed.”

Copilot Chat is available to Microsoft business users. The features you can use depend on whether your admin has assigned you a Microsoft 365 Copilot add-on license. To use Copilot Chat you need to sign in with your work or school account and have a qualifying Microsoft 365 business subscription. Copilot Chat with or without an add-on license.
