If you try to sign in using a passkey and see the error message "We couldn't use your device to verify your identity," it means the passkey is no longer valid on that device.

Users typically sign in by using their user principal name (UPN). We are working on an update to the Mac and iOS applications to support signing in by using an alternative user identifier. To resolve this issue, update to the latest version of Mac and iOS apps.

Signing certificate To create a digital signature, you need a signing certificate, which proves identity. When you send a digitally-signed macro or document, you also send your certificate and public key.

Open the app, go to the app's top-level menu, and then select Send feedback. After that, contact Support or go to the Microsoft Authenticator app forum and explain the problem you're seeing and the steps you tried.

Switch back to your phone and you'll see a notification for a new sign in. Go to the Microsoft Authenticator app. Tap Approve to allow it.

Signing in with a passkey is simple and fast and helps protect you against phishing attacks. Passkeys are supported on desktop and mobile browsers (mobile app support is coming soon).

When you sign a signature line, you add a visible representation of your signature and a digital signature. In the file, right-click the signature line and choose Sign.

Just take these steps. Sign in with your personal account or Microsoft work account. If you have trouble signing in, check out Work or school account help. When using a Microsoft 365 work account, you may need to enroll your tenant or ask your IT administrator to approve using Loop.
