The Signature Details dialog box displays certificate information such as the signer’s name in the Signing as box, and who issued the certificate. Open the file that contains the certificate you want to view.

When you send a digitally-signed macro or document, you also send your certificate and public key. Certificates are issued by a certification authority, and like a driver’s license, can be revoked.

To see details about the certificate, click View Certificate. The email encryption certificate details for the messages that you send or receive can be reviewed.

For iOS, you'll first need to install TestFlight on your iOS device. You can find it here or in the App Store. Once TestFlight is installed, you can join from your device. You'll then be able to download and install our beta app via TestFlight.

If you plan to exchange digitally-signed documents together with other people, and you want the recipients of your documents to be able to verify the authenticity of your digital signature, you can obtain a digital certificate from a reputable third-party certificate authority (CA).

When you get an email or a Teams message from somebody you don't recognize, or that Outlook or Teams identifies as a new sender, take a moment to examine it extra carefully using some of the measures below.

To check whether the signature is valid, select the ribbon on the Signed By status line. Then, to see more information about the digital signature, select Details.

Your digital signature, which includes your certificate and public key, originates from your digital ID. And that digital ID serves as your unique digital mark and signals the recipient that the content hasn't been altered in transit.

Automatically choose the best certificate for digital signing: Allows Outlook to select a base certificate. If not checked, you'll be prompted to select the right certificate.
