If you get an email about unusual activity on your Microsoft account, or if you’re worried that someone else might have used your account, go to the Recent activity page. You’ll see when your Microsoft account was signed in during the last 30 days, along with any device or app-specific info.

There are many different types of email accounts you can add to Outlook, including an Outlook.com or Hotmail.com account, the work or school account you use with Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, and Exchange accounts. Select a tab option below for the version of Outlook you're using.

Some Office 2019, Office 2016, and Office 2013 products come with a product key. If yours did, before installing Microsoft 365 for the first time, sign in with an existing or new Microsoft account and enter your product key at office.com/setup. Redeeming your key is what links your account with Microsoft 365 so you only have to do this once.

When you select the Import Settings option during setup, the web add-in counterparts of your existing COM add-ins in classic Outlook for Windows are installed in the new client. The following table lists the applicable COM add-ins and their web add-in counterparts.

If you can't sign in to your Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, or MSN email account, or you're not sure how to sign in or sign out, here are some solutions.

Manage your Microsoft 365 subscription or Office product. You can manage all of your Microsoft subscriptions in your Microsoft account dashboard. Select each subscription to change when and how you pay, or to see order history & receipts. Choose your account type.

When using Semi-Annual Enterprise Channel of Microsoft 365, you'll find that Microsoft 365 Copilot features are not available in your apps. In order to use the features enabled by your assigned Copilot license, you'll need to switch to Current Channel or the Monthly Enterprise Channel.

For guidance on how to locate the Apps button to access add-ins while reading or composing a mail item, see Use an add-in in Outlook. In the Apps page, search for the add-in you want from the available list. Alternatively, if you're after a specific add-in, enter its name in the search box.

Use the Office offline installer to install Office 2016 or Office 2013 if you don't have an active Internet connection or you're having problems with slow speed or unreliable connections.

Add or remove add-ins in Excel. Add-ins provide optional commands and features for Microsoft Excel. By default, add-ins are not immediately available in Excel, so you must first install and (in some cases) activate these add-ins so that you can use them.
