If you see a list of Android devices, choose the one you wish to pair with Phone Link to access your favorite apps, respond to texts, make calls, view photos, and more from your PC. Grant permissions on the Link to Windows app on your Android device. You are all set to use Phone Link.

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features to change whether you're shown app recommendations when trying to install apps from outside the Store.

Turn Windows Security on or off. When you get a new device and start up Windows 10 for the first time, the antivirus protection that comes installed with the device is your default security app. However, Windows Security is pre-installed and ready for you to use at any time.

Choose the apps that will run when you start your device. Go to Start > Settings > Apps > Startup. Open Startup settings. For any app in the list, select the toggle to set it to On. If you want to change the advanced settings for that app, select the arrow and make changes as desired.

Screen flickering in Windows 11 is usually caused by a display driver issue or incompatible app. To determine whether a display driver or app is causing the problem, check to see if Task Manager flickers.

If you are unsure if your device meets the Windows 11 minimum system requirements and have Windows 10 already installed, you can download the PC Health Check app, which will assess eligibility and identify components of your device that don't meet the minimum requirements.

Once the Windows 11 upgrade has been tested and validated for your specific PC, Windows Update will indicate that it's ready for installation. To check if Windows 11 is ready for your device, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates.
