Use the Add a language feature to install another language for Windows 11 to view menus, dialog boxes, and supported apps and websites in that language. To do this: Select Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region. Go to Preferred languages, select Add a language.

Adding an input language lets you set a language-preference order for websites and apps, as well as change your keyboard language. Select Start > Settings > Time & language > Language & region. Select the language that has the keyboard you want, then select Options. Select Add a keyboard and choose the keyboard you want to add.

After you enable the keyboard layout for two or more languages in the Windows operating system, you can use the Language bar to switch between languages that use different keyboard layouts.

For some languages, you might need to manually download a speech pack. Go to Start and open Settings . Select Time & language > Language. Select the language you want to add speech to, and then select the Next button. Select the speech options you want included with the language.

Install the language accessory pack for your desired language. Open any Office program, click File > Options > Language. Under Choose Editing Languages, make sure the language you want to use is added to the list. Under Choose Display and Help languages, change the default display and help languages for all Office apps.

Language packs are available for computers that are running Windows 8 and Windows RT. We recommend that you install language packs from the Control Panel. If the language pack is unavailable in the Control panel, you may find the download link on the Windows website that we mentioned in the "Download a language pack from Windows website" section.
