Sign in to your Microsoft account to change the display language. Sign in to your Outlook.com account to change the display language. Microsoft.com is available in a variety of countries/regions. Choose your language preference. Set the region, device language, and spoken language for your products and services.

On the Formats tab, you'll see a drop-down to choose different keyboard settings. You can select the default recommended option to "Match Windows display language" or you can select a specific language from the drop-down list.
Set up or change the languages used to check spelling and grammar
When you complete these actions, the proofing tools automatically detect your language. You don't need to complete these procedures in order, but we recommend it. You need to add a language pack for any languages you want used for spelling and grammar checks.

Within Windows 10 and Windows 11 settings, you can install different language packs to translate and read content aloud in different languages. To install a new language, Open the Language or region settings. Open settings. Select Add a language. Search for a language in the search bar or choose one from the list.

Change the language Office uses in its menus and proofing tools
Display language is for all the buttons, menus, and controls in Office. You can set the display and editing or authoring languages independently from each other. For example, you may want the display language to be English, but the document you're writing or editing is in French.
