For most popular email providers that offer IMAP/SMTP, the Outlook service already knows the correct IMAP server settings. If we don't know the correct settings, the service tries to discover them, but it doesn't always succeed. In this case, you should contact your email service provider to get the IMAP server settings, then try to login again using the advanced settings.
