I artikeln beskrivs ett problem där CreateFile-API: er och GetFileAttributes ta längre tid när fler filer finns i en katalog i Windows Embedded kompakt 7. Den tid som tas av API: T går från 500 millisekunder per fil till 1000 millisekunder per fil och det håller på att öka. Detta är ett allvarligt problem i fordonsplattform där filindexering aldrig slutförs på grund av detta.
