Frontline Agent (Public Preview) helps you search for information quickly across SharePoint and Microsoft Teams chats and channels, catch up on missed Microsoft Teams messages, and coordinate work by summarizing key updates and required actions. The agent is currently in public preview and you can find it in Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft Teams chat rail, just like any other teammate.
Try supported prompts
Frontline Agent has access to content in your SharePoint sites and Teams chat and channel messages. You can access prompts in Prompt suggestions anytime, or ask the agent to find files, how-to questions, and to catch you up on Teams messages.
More prompt examples:
-
Provide a list of files related to ___
-
Share the instructions for how to ___
-
Help me learn about ___
-
What did ___ tell me to do yesterday?
-
Summarize my unread messages from the last week
Understand known limitations
Here are a few things to keep in mind when using the Frontline Agent:
-
Sending messages too fast: If you send several messages before Frontline Agent replies, the agent might stop responding or show an error.
-
Asking general world questions: Frontline Agent can’t look things up on the web, so questions like “Who is the president?” may be wrong or out of date, unless the answer exists in your SharePoint sites or Teams chat and channels.
-
Remembering long conversations: Frontline Agent only remembers the context in the chat for about 1 hour. After that, the agent won’t remember what was discussed.
-
Uploading images or files: Frontline Agent can’t look at pictures or files you upload.
-
Doing math: Frontline Agent can’t do calculations well, like percentages or totals.
-
Using emojis or GIFs: Frontline Agent can only read plain text. Frontline Agent can’t understand emojis, GIFs, or other non‑text inputs.
