Summary

Microsoft Easy Fix solutions (previously known as Microsoft Fix it) are no longer available. Instead, Windows provides built‑in and cloud‑connected troubleshooting experiences to help you diagnose and fix common problems.

In Windows 11, troubleshooting is integrated into Settings and the Get Help app.

How to troubleshoot problems in Windows 11

Use Settings troubleshooters:

  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot.

  2. Select Other troubleshooters.

  3. Choose a troubleshooter, then select Run.

Follow the on‑screen instructions to complete the process.

Use the Get Help app:

  1. Select Start, then search for Get Help.

  2. Enter a description of your issue (for example, audio not working).

  3. Follow the guided troubleshooting steps.

The Get Help app can:

  • Provide step‑by‑step guidance

  • Suggest automated fixes

  • Connect you to additional support options

What replaced Easy Fix solutions

Easy Fix solutions have been replaced by:

  • Built‑in troubleshooters in Windows

  • The Get Help app, which provides guided and cloud‑assisted support

  • Regular Windows updates, which include fixes and improvements

These tools are integrated into Windows and don’t require separate downloads.

Troubleshooting in earlier versions of Windows:

Windows 10:

  1. Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.

  2. Select a troubleshooter, then select Run the troubleshooter.
