You might run into an issue of a blank screen when watching a Blu-ray disc if Video output in your console settings is set to Allow 24Hz. To change this setting: Press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options. Select Video modes. Select Allow 24Hz to turn off this setting.
