If your camera is unable to capture the QR code, you can manually add your account information to the Microsoft Authenticator app for two-factor verification. This works for work or school accounts and non-Microsoft accounts. The codes provided for your accounts aren't case-sensitive and don't require spaces when added into the Authenticator app.

Note: To keep the Camera app from using the camera, turn off the camera completely. Drag the app to the bottom of the screen and hold it there until the app flips over. If you have problems with the Camera app after changing privacy settings, close it and re-open it.

Next to Choose where to get apps, select one of the available options.To see recommendations, select Anywhere, but let me know if there's a comparable app in the Microsoft Store.. To stop seeing app recommendations, select Anywhere.

You can get the app at Microsoft Store. Make sure your scanner is turned on. In the search box on the taskbar, type Windows Scan, and then select Scan from the results. Do one of the following: Place the item you want to scan face down on the scanner's flatbed and close the cover.
