狀況
假設網域控制站從較早版本的 Windows 伺服器升級為 Windows Server 2012。系統管理員重設使用者的密碼在網域中之後，使用者無法存取 Windows 資料保護 API (DPAPI) 保護資料。例如，使用者無法存取憑證的私密金鑰。
注意當使用者變更他們的密碼本身時，可能會發生這個問題。
原因
之所以發生這個問題，是因為所使用的網域控制站的驗證機制的不相容。如果 DPAPI 金鑰備份在 windows Server 2003 伺服器執行的網域控制站上相同的索引鍵會被擷取來自網域控制站升級後至 Windows Server 2012，系統管理員變更使用者的密碼後，就會失敗金鑰的擷取。
解決方案
重要在您安裝此 hotfix 之後，請不要安裝語言套件。如果您安裝語言套件，hotfix 中的特定語言的變更將不會套用，，，您將需要重新安裝 hotfix。如需詳細資訊，請參閱新增Windows 語言套件。

Hotfix 取代資訊
此 hotfix 不會取代先前發行的 hotfix。
