The Write Signature command in Disk Management writes a signature to all unsigned hard disks on a Windows 2000-based computerArticle ID: 837160 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMS If you add an unsigned hard disk to a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 2000 and then start the Disk Management snap-in in Computer Management, the Write Signature and Upgrade Disk Wizard will start. If you add two or more unsigned hard disks, cancel the Write Signature and Upgrade Disk Wizard when it appears, and then use the Write Signature command to write a signature to only one of the new unsigned hard disks, all the hard disks are signed.
