If you have incorrect permissions set in the Windows NT LanmanServer
registry keys, unpredictable results occur. Following are some examples:

By default, the LanmanServer has the following Permissions:
Administrators Full Control
System Full Control
Everyone Special Access
Query Value
Create Subkey
Enumerate Subkeys
Notify
Read Control
To verify or change these Permissions, run the Registry Editor (REGEDT32.EXE). WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk. From the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subtree, go to the following key:
