When you first start Microsoft Outlook 97, you may receive an invalid page
fault in module Outlrpc.dll.
CAUSE
You have an invalid, outdated or damaged Msvcrt40.dll file on your system.
This file resides in your \Windows\System folder.
Msvcrt40.dll is a Microsoft C Runtime Library file. The correct file is
version 4.10.6038 with a size of 326,656 bytes and a date of 11/17/96.
RESOLUTION
Replace the problem Msvcrt40.dll file with the correct version from your Microsoft Office 97 or Outlook CD.

To do this, follow these steps:NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you must start Windows in Safe mode to rename the Msvcrt40.dll file; to do so, press F8 when you restart Windows, and then select the option to start in Safe mode.
