SYMPTOMS

When you save a message or article you are composing to the Drafts folder, the text is automatically wrapped, resulting in a blank space between each line. This format is retained when you later edit the message or article.

RESOLUTION

To prevent this problem from occurring, press SHIFT+ENTER after each line. This moves the next line of text directly below the line preceding it, without adding a space between the two lines.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0.
