SYMPTOMS

If you are attempting to remove a Desktop Theme by double-clicking the Desktop Themes icon in Control Panel, choosing the theme and then clicking Delete, you may notice that the Theme folder is not removed from the Plus! folder in the Program Files directory.

CAUSE

This is by design. Manually deleting a Desktop Theme may remove files that are used by other applications.

For example: If you have a Word document that is using a specific font that was also used by the theme you deleted, that Word document will not be viewable. Fonts, sounds, and mouse pointers may be removed even if they were installed with a program other than Desktop Themes.
