To convert a number, follow these steps:
  1. Use the following formula to convert the number to a serial number
    =n/24
where n is any decimal number representing hours.
  2. On the Format menu, click Cells, and then click the Number tab.
  3. Under Category, select Time; under Type, select the number format that you want.
