Mouse May Not Work After Installing Windows 2000

After you install Windows 2000, or upgrade from Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, your bus or InPort mouse does not work.

Windows 2000 does not support the bus or InPort mouse.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

The only exception to this behavior is the Japanese version of Windows 2000.
