Cannot Add a Printer While a NetWare Print Queue Is Paused

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to add a printer, you may receive the following error message:
Could not connect to the printer. You either entered a printer name that was incorrect of the specified printer is no longer connected to the server.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the printer is a NetWare resource and the NetWare print queue is in a "paused" state (the PCONSOLE Print Queue Status Operator Flag for the "Allow users to submit print jobs" option is set to No).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the "Allow users to submit print jobs" option to Yes.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
