You may experience one or more of the following issues with Hotmail, which is included with Outlook Express 5 and later:

To work around the issue, use the appropriate method:
Two Inboxes Are DisplayedOutlook Express can use and display multiple e-mail accounts. The Inbox in the Local folder is associated with Post Office Protocol (POP3) accounts from your Internet service provider (ISP). The Inbox in the Hotmail account is strictly for Hotmail accounts.You Cannot Create Rules or FiltersYou can use your Hotmail account to create filters. For information about creating filters for a Hotmail account, please contact Hotmail Technical Support.
