When you upgrade from Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 to Windows 2000, incompatible Windows NT 4.0 printer drivers (such as the Okidata Okipage 20 driver) are blocked and replaced with the driver included with Windows 2000.
MORE INFORMATION
The Windows NT 4.0 Okidata Okipage 20 driver causes a blue screen in
Windows 2000. Therefore, this driver is blocked from being installed in Windows 2000. You receive a message indicating such a block. If the driver is present when you upgrade, it is replaced with the driver included with Windows 2000, and a message is logged in the %SystemRoot%\Setuperr.log file. A complete list of all printer drivers that are blocked in this manner is available in the %SystemRoot%\Inf\Printupg.inf file. The date for each driver indicates that only drivers dated before that date will be blocked and replaced. This ensures that new drivers are not affected. Name of Monolithic Driver.
