SUMMARY

Windows Explorer may not be able to read some enhanced CD-ROMs that contain both music tracks and computer data. Attempting to open such a CD-ROM may generate any of the following error messages:
  • Drive letter:\ is not accessible. The parameter is incorrect.
Drive letter:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupt and non-readable.
You can play the music tracks on these CD-ROMs using CD Player with no problem.

MORE INFORMATION

CD-ROMs that generate these error messages generally are not created using the Bluebook industry standard. These CD-ROMs can encode data into the music portions of the CD-ROM, which Windows Explorer is unable to interpret.
