Code Download Manager (CDM) may delete files and folders in the ReinstallBackups folder.

If you click Restore, CDM should back up files that were previously installed in their installation folders to a backup folder. Instead, the restore process deletes the ReinstallBackups folder and all of its contents.

CDM installs the files that were in the ReinstallBackups folder, and then deletes those files from the ReinstallBackups folder. If CDM did not do this, it could create a situation in which a new file becomes an old file, which could then be applied to your computer and cause problems. This situation is avoided when CDM deletes the referenced files from the ReinstallBackups folder.

This behavior is by design.
