SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Combine and Decode command from the Outlook Express 5 Tools menu to combine and decode a large, multi-part binary file from a newsgroup, you may receive the following error message:
Not all of the messages needed to assemble this message are downloaded from the server. Please connect to your server and try again.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if only the message header of one or more of the newsgroup messages you are trying to combine and decode is downloaded to your computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, download each message that you are trying to combine and decode to your computer before you use the Combine and Decode command.
