ET-4000 Driver Prevents Computer from Entering Standby Mode

SYMPTOMS

If your computer uses a video adapter based on the Tseng Labs ET-4000 chip set, the computer may not be able to enter Standby mode. When the computer attempts to enter Standby mode, the following message may appear:
The system cannot go to Standby mode because the driver \Driver\et4000 failed the request to standby.

CAUSE

Video adapters based on the ET-4000 chip set do not support system standby.
