The Dns_off.inf and Dns_on.inf files as well as the Domain Name System (DNS) entry in the Ics.adm file are not used in the released version of Windows 98 Second Edition.

The Dns_off.inf, Dns_on.inf, and Ics.adm files are located in the CD-ROM\Tools\MTSUTILS\ICS folder, where CD-ROM is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
When you use the Dns_off.inf or Dns_on.inf file, or the DNS option in the Ics.adm file, you create the EnableDNS value in the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\services\ICSharing\Settings\General\
The released version of Windows 98 Second Edition does not use this registry key.
