ACPI Not Functioning Correctly with ASUS P2B-Series Motherboards

SYMPTOMS

After you install Windows 98 Second Edition on a computer with an ASUS P2B-series motherboard, the computer may not wake up after it has been suspended.

CAUSE

If your P2B-series motherboard uses BIOS revision 1008, it may not function properly with Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact ASUS to inquire about a BIOS revision that corrects this problem.

To work around this problem, fall back to BIOS version 1007, which functions normally. For information about how to do this, please contact ASUS.
