Cannot Use Whiteboard, Chat, or File Transfer in NetMeeting

SYMPTOMS

When you try to use Microsoft NetMeeting on computer that hosts Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), you may not be able to use the Whiteboard, Chat, File Transfer, or Application Sharing utilities. Also, the ICS client computers may not be able to receive NetMeeting calls.

CAUSE

This issue can occur because the ICS address table has a problem using the H.323 protocol.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, disable ICS on the host computer. For information about how to disable ICS, please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
