Terminal Services Client Disconnected Immediately

SYMPTOMS

When a Terminal Services client attempts to connect, the client may be disconnected immediately with the following error message:
Terminal Services Client Disconnected. The Terminal server has ended the connection.
When this behavior occurs, attempts to create new connections are also unsuccessful.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur 90 days after the first Terminal Services client connection is made to the Terminal Services server, when the 90-day temporary Terminal Services license expires.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, obtain a valid Terminal Services license.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
