Windows 98 and Windows Me Error Message Resource Center
SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to create a new connection in HyperTerminal, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Hypertrm caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.DLL.
Hypertrm caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL.
Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module Kernel32.dll
Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module Msvcrt.dll
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if the Msvcrt.dll file is the incorrect version.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, rename and then extract a new copy of the Msvcrt.dll file from your Windows 98 CD-ROM. To do this, follow these steps:
