SYMPTOMS

Setup fails while you are installing the Site Replication Service sub-component with error code 0xC1030B0C: Please see installation logs for a full description.

Error code 0XC1030B0C (2828): The Distinguished Name already exists. Try the operation again. If the error recurs, try stopping the directory service and the Administrator program and then restarting them.

However, stopping and restarting the directory and the Administrator program does not fix this issue. The Distinguished Name (DN) is already in use and must be changed on the server that you are installing into the site.
