SYMPTOMS
When you start the RAM Test feature in CheckIt 98 by TouchStone Software, you receive the following prompt:
Running the memory test requires that we exit Windows. Please save all of your changes and close all programs before proceeding. Do you wish to continue?
This program runs in MS-DOS (real mode), which this version of Windows does not support. You can attempt to run this program in an MS-DOS window as follows: Right click the icon for the program, click properties, click ok, and then click yes in the dialog that appears. Restart the program or contact the program's manufacturer for an updated version.
The memory test either did not run or has completed unsuccessfully. If it was not run, please run the test again. Before running the test, please be sure to close all running programs.
This program might not run as expected on this version of Windows. To continue, click Run Program. To exit, click Cancel. For more information, click Details.
Due to changes in the Windows operating system, CheckIt 98 has a known compatibility issue when installed on Windows Me. The compatibility issue involves the Memory Test feature in CheckIt 98. This feature requires the application to operate in REAL MODE which is no longer supported by Windows. If you attempt to initiate this feature you will receive an error message.
